Pregnancy Files: What’s In My Hospital Bag For Labor and Delivery (and baby’s!)

Guys. It’s crunch time. Like we’re days (if not maybe even hours) away from #BrighterDarlingBaby coming out. Despite what you may see on my Instagram or YouTube, I am feeling pretty miserable. I know I need to get myself to film my third trimester update, like, tomorrow, but in the meantime I wanted to make sure you got a chance to check out what’s in my hospital bag for labor and delivery. Plus, also sharing what I’ve packed in Miss Savannah Faith’s bag – with her adorable coming home outfit, too!

So, my overall thought process for packing was this:

  • Pack a lot of dark clothing because I don’t want anything to be obviously stained to the point that I can’t use it again once I get home.
  • Keep my toiletries/some health and comfort essentials in a small bag in my purse so I can have them handy, as my hospital doesn’t want you lugging your full duffel/suitcase into Labor + Delivery until you’ve had the baby and get transferred to Mom + Baby.
  • Don’t pack much (if any) feminine hygiene products because the hospital is going to supply me with ALL of those things. Although, I do have a full stockpile here at home for when I get back included mega pads, those lovely adult diapers, several pain relieving sprays, sitz bath soaks, etc etc.

As always, if you want to know where I got any specific products you saw in the video, click on the video (or here) and then drop down the description box. I’ve linked everything there for convenience.

This one was pretty straightforward because, let’s be real, she’s not going to need much since we live literally ten minutes from the hospital and I know my hospital is going to send me home with a care package of newborn supplies.

However, I did include two coming home outfits (a preferred one and a back up if she decides to totally destroy the first one) and some other essentials you may forget about especially if you’re also a first time mom.

Again, if there’s anything that caught your eye that you want a link to shop for, just click the video (or here) and drop down the description box. I’ve probably linked it there.

Ok, so that’s everything! At the time of this post publishing, I’m currently 3cm dilated and 75% effaced at 38 weeks 3 days, so wish me luck 🙂

Let me know if you think I’m forgetting anything last minute… I’ll throw it in the bag(s) ASAP!
