I believe the majority of women (or men) like a makeup look that is timeless, elegant, and most of all – polished. You want to look like the best version of yourself at all times; healthy, fresh-faced with maybe just a pop of color on the cheek or lip and some subtle definition to the eyes. Well, I’m really happy to report that Charlotte Tilbury The Queen nails it! Let’s get into the details of the namesake lip color and the ‘makeup wardrobe’ available surrounding this look.
Centered around a new, limited edition matte revolution lipstick dubbed “The Queen,” this collection is available exclusively on CharlotteTilbury.com (so, no Nordstrom or Beautylish, etc.). The shade is a rosy, ruby jewel pink – so flattering on anyone’s skin tone. It reminds me of the shade of your lips when you’ve been out in the cold for a while.
When I first saw the look, I not only thought of The Queen of England but honestly, Kate Middleton. Maybe it’s the brown hair and blue eyes, but I just feel like this is such a classy look. I think we all agree that Kate is the epitome of a classy broad, and who wouldn’t want to look like a princess?!
The Royal Look
Charlotte put together a fool-proof makeup wardrobe to accompany The Queen lipstick and it’s available now. ‘The Royal Look: Eyes to Mesmerize’ includes mascara, eyeliner, lip liner, blush and eyeshadow along with The Queen lipstick. Check out how Charlotte creates this very easy to achieve look:
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I recently picked up my first matte revolution lipstick from Charlotte in Secret Salma and I’m OBSESSED with the formula. Charlotte’s lipsticks are hands-down my favorite – they look stunning on the lips, wear long and are so comfortable. It’s definitely not going to be my last (now I’m debating between this shade (The Queen) and Miranda May (more of a coral)). If you haven’t liked matte lipsticks before, I urge you to try these – you will die.
The Royal Look is currently on sale for $160, or just pick up The Queen on its own for $32.
