Glo Skin Beauty Stick Foundation Review and Wear Test [YouTube]
Guys! I am so sorry I forgot to share this on my blog for you all! It was a YouTube video I did a few months ago, but I know a lot of you love mineral makeup *AND* I hope many of you are joining me on this cleaner beauty journey. It was a fairly popular YouTube review and foundation wear test and I’m happy to finally share my thoughts on the Glo Skin Beauty Stick foundation review and wear test!
So, my initial thoughts on this foundation were super promising!
A ‘cleaner’ HD foundation stick option!? Sounded amazing! I was/am a huge fan of the Hourglass Foundation Stick for the quick convenience, but if someone was going to give me an even cleaner, safer option… gimme gimme gimme!
I’ve been a fan of glo skin beauty pressed mineral powder/foundation for a few years, though, and when I actually looked into the safety ratings, it wasn’t as clean as it advertised.
Glo Skin Beauty’s pressed mineral powder was actually one of the powders I threw away when I ‘detoxed’ my makeup stash to switch to cleaner options.
So, I approached this HD foundation stick with a bit of trepidation.

Good to know… I looked up the first ten ingredients in this foundation stick and they’re all pretty clean.. like score 1-3 (which to me, is pretty safe!).
The first ten ingredients are the most concentrated; everything after that is minimally concentrated (less than 1%) and I honestly don’t have the time to look up 30+ ingredients.
However, I personally didn’t love this foundation. The coverage was VERY sheer upon initial application and I didn’t think it blended out as easy as it could (say, compared to the bareMinerals foundation stick… which, for all intents and purposes, is MUCH sheerer coverage than even this formula).
I also was pretty upset with how it wore throughout the day.
For an HD formula, I don’t think this did the best job holding up.
Also, the shades ran VERY light. I can’t believe I wore shade 7W in October in New Jersey.
BUT… if you have very dry skin and like light/medium coverage, you may totally LOVE this!
