A month has now passed since I started my Best-of-the-Week: YouTube Makeup Videos series and I’m really loving hearing your feedback on my Facebook page regarding what you’re thinking about my top three favorite videos of the week. Be sure you’re following me there for beauty tidbits and articles, as well.
Anyway, this week I was apparently very curious about mascaras – from $5 – $30something formulas – I really enjoyed two comparison videos, as well as, a super pretty Valentine’s Day tutorial by my favorite celebrity makeup artist and cosmetics creator, Charlotte Tilbury! I hope you enjoy these videos as much as I have. Check them out below!
I found this video because I follow @beautyreviewsbyg on Instagram and noticed she posted a comparison of these two Maybelline formulas. I have enjoyed the (original) pink tube formula in the past (very volumizing, lengthening, non-flaky… basically everything good if you like the plastic/rubber bristle mascaras), but had no idea about the new black tube! Since watching this, I’ve picked up both of these and have been enjoying pairing them together – the black for even MORE volume and the pink to help separate.
Jordan Liberty is a pro makeup artist and one I appreciate for his concise YouTube videos. He’s all about keeping it real and cutting through the “trends.” I love this new series he’s doing on his channel and completely agree with his comparison of these two formulas. Have you tried them – thoughts below?
It’s no secret I’m obsessed with anything Charlotte Tilbury does! Her makeup is top-notch quality and performance so I often rave about it here on Brighter, Darling. She’s launched two new lipstick shades – one matte and one creamy – but this particular tutorial features the new creamy shade, Kiss Chase. Very pretty and very doable for even my beginner makeup friends. I hope you adore her as much as I do.
That about wraps it up for this week’s edition of Best-of-the-Week: YouTube Makeup Videos! Have you come across any must-watches – don’t forget to share them below and let me know which you liked best from my top three.
